Future Generation Forum
At the City Food & Drink Lecture 2026
Recognising the importance of developing the next generation of industry leaders, the City Food & Drink Lecture has, for many years, supported and accommodated a selected number of students with an invitation to attend the Future Generation Forum (FGF). Over 70 individuals attend the Future Generation Forum at Guildhall, held on the afternoon of the City Food & Drink Lecture.
The FGF enables students, apprentices and graduate trainees to be part of the interactive and lively sessions dedicated to the future thought leaders of the food industry and allied sectors.
Attendees come from a number of higher and further education institutions, groups and businesses. Whether they are studying
or a degree in food or related studies at an undergraduate or postgraduate level, or working as apprentices or graduate trainees in food businesses, each attendee is selected based on their interest in the future of food and drink and a career in the many opportunities across the sector. The attendees also join an exclusive Q&A session with the three panellists involved in the evening lecture, plus our keynote speaker.
The FGF plays an important part of the City Food & Drink Lecture’s role in supporting individuals who want to forge careers in the UK food and drink industries.
